I’ve said it a hundred times and I’ll continue to believe that one of the greatest qualities about makeup is its ability to transform your entire look. It allows you to be fierce when you’re usually demure. It can turn the biggest tom girl into a classic beauty. You can wear a completely different style than you typically would, giving you the ability to be more imaginative and reinvent yourself as often as you like. But one other transformative feature about makeup is its ability to correct or rather enhance a feature that doesn’t thrill you.

Round Eyes
Round eyes can appear bulgy when shadow is centered over the middle of your lid. In order to elongate the eye, focus on applying eyeshadow on the outer corners of your eyelid – almost as though you’re creating a cat eye with the shadow. Apply a lighter shade across the lid, then a darker hue outward and upward for a more almond shaped finish.
Close-set Eyes
Close-set eyes will create the illusion of smaller eyes and more compact features. Applying darker product towards the inner corner of your eye will only accentuate how close-set they are. Instead, keep eyeshadow on the outer edge of the eye and apply product lightly up from your lash line to brow. This will leave you with the bright, wide-eyed look so many of us enjoy (especially during the summer).
Heavy-lidded Eyes
Heavy-lidded eyes with shadow only along the lids will not widen the eye. It can often completely hide the eyeshadow, making it unnecessary. Don’t concentrate color on the center of the lid, instead sweep lighter shades across your lid and then sweep a darker shade on the outer corners; add a slight bit in the corner near your nose.
Small Eyes
Any concentration of shadow on small eyes can close them off even more. Instead the trick is to widen and make them look larger. Luckily, this can be easily achieved by using lighter colors on eyelid and along brow bone. Then apply a darker shade in the crease across the eye, leaving you with bigger looking eyes.
