Mini Margarita Flight

I love a good flight! Why have one cocktail when you can have three tiny ones?! It just makes sense. Who doesn't like trying three flavors instead of just one?
Today we're partnering with Familia Camarena Tequila and their campaign to #SaveCinco on this tasty little flight. Specifically, we chose to use their Silver Tequila, as it's just smooth and spicy enough to complement the cocktail flavors here.

Ingredients: Familia Camarena Tequila Silver, orange liqueur, agave, one grapefruit, three limes, cayenne pepper, coconut milk, lavender buds, sugar, and two blood oranges.

Spicy Grapefruit Margarita

2 ounces grapefruit juice
1/2 ounce Camarena Silver tequila
1/2 ounce orange liqueur
1 splash agave
juice of half a lime
1-2 pinches of cayenne pepper

In a shaker with ice, combine all ingredients. If you like things a little spicy, use one pinch of cayenne, and for a little more heat add two pinches! Shake and serve in a salted rim glass. Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit.

Lavender Coconut Margarita

2 ounces coconut milk
1/2 ounce Camarena Silver tequila
1/2 ounce orange liqueur
juice of half a lime
1 tablespoon lavender simple syrup *recipe below

In a shaker with ice, combine all ingredients. Shake and serve in a salted rim glass. Garnish with a fresh lavender leaf.

To make a quick lavender simple syrup, combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a pot on the stove top. Add a small amount of lavender buds (see above) for a subtle flavor, and twice as many for a strong flavor. After you make this, don't throw the extra away. Make a batch of lavender lemonade with it.... I promise you'll like it! :)
Blood Orange Margarita

2 ounces blood orange juice
1/2 ounce Camarena Silver tequila
1/2 ounce orange liqueur
1 splash agave
juice of half a lime

In a shaker with ice, combine all ingredients. Shake and serve in a salted rim glass. Garnish with a blood orange slice.

Aren't they cute together?!

These tiny glasses hold 3.75 ounces of liquid. Since each one only has an ounce of alcohol, enjoying the flight is really equivalent to ordering one cocktail as a double. They're a lot of fun for parties because you can shake a bigger batch and serve a bunch of people at once!

I know you're probably wondering which one is the yummiest. I'll leave that up to you to decide! Let me know. xo. Elsie

P.S. Would you like to see more cocktail flights?
